Founder’s message

Hi, I’m Skylar, a Sensory experience designer.

I use sensory neuroscience, behavioral physiology, and choice architecture to create experiences that align with how the mind and body process information — so flows feel effortless, environments feel restorative, and immersions feel memorable.

lumina labs™ is my space for prototyping the future of sensory experience design — a remote innovation studio where science meets sensation. At its core is the Flow Triad™, my signature method for designing experiences that work with human nature.

Rooted in psychology, neurosensory science, behavioral physiology, coaching, product strategy, decision science, and experience design, my work blends applied research with creative practice into the signature Flow Triad™ approach.

  • Sensory Neuroscience — how experiences are processed through the senses and attention.

  • Behavioral Physiology — how the body’s patterns of stress, rhythm, and regulation shape responses.

  • Choice Architecture — how decisions are structured, simplified, and guided.

Together, these lenses strip out hidden friction and replace it with effortless flow, restorative environments, and memorable immersions.

Through this lens, lumina labs™ helps brands, founders, and individuals design CX/UX flows, trainings, methods, product ecosystems, and on-site immersions that feel intuitive, flow seamlessly, and engage naturally, including:

  • Multi-sensory journeys that engage attention and emotion.

  • Behavioral systems that transform habits and flows.

  • Sensory-driven decision frameworks that guide choices with ease.

Unlike traditional labs, lumina labs™ is a living studio — where applied research becomes practice. It serves as a thought partner and design leader in sensory experience design, bridging theory with embodiment.

This fall, I’m working on projects including the experiential design of Attention Flow Pilates™, adaptive leadership capacity development through The Vagal Leadership Method™, and big-nature sensory immersions rooted in attention restoration theory called Seasonal Attention Retreats™.

Connect with me on LinkedIn for a backstage view of how these projects unfold — crafted not only as aesthetic explorations, but as evidence-based frameworks where senses, experiences, and choices align.
